Bernie joined Elek Wealth Management in 2025, bringing with him over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He concentrates on a range of insurance solutions that include personal/business insurance and continuation strategies, employee benefits, retirement planning and investment management. Before joining Elek Wealth Management, Bernie was Founder and President of PGH Benefits, LLC.
As a graduate of Mercyhurst University, Bernie pursued higher education at The University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University and Carnegie Mellon University. He currently serves on the Board of Meals on Wheels and as Treasurer of the Al Ludwig Memorial Fund. He and his wife Connie reside in Ligonier, Pennsylvania and have three daughters. Besides being involved in the local community and charitable organizations, Bernie enjoys playing golf, fishing and being a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
